Welcome
The 10th International Conference on Unconventional Computation (UC 2011) will take place in Turku, Finland, on June 6-10, 2011. It is organized by the FUNDIM laboratory of the Mathematics Department, University of Turku, under the auspices of EATCS and Academia Europaea.
The series of International Conferences UNCONVENTIONAL COMPUTATION (UC) is devoted to all aspects of unconventional computation, theory as well as experiments and applications. Typical, but not exclusive, topics are: natural computing including quantum, cellular, molecular, neural and membrane computing, as well as evolutionary paradigms; chaos and dynamical systems based computing; proposals for computations going beyond the Turing model.
Program
The conference program includes
- presentations of seventeen peer reviewed papers,
- keynote lectures by six distinguished invited speakers,
- three tutorials on central topics in unconventional computation,
- a poster session,
- four exciting satellite workshops, and
- a presentation and discussion on EC's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) initiative on Unconventional Computing.
Proceedings
The conference proceedings were published as the volume 6714 of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science -series by Springer. The volume is available online at the SpringerLink web site.
