These workshops aim:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To establish and maintain a permanent, international, multidisciplinary forum for the collaboration of researchers in the field of Cellular Automata (CA) and Discrete Complex Systems (DCS).<\/li>\n<li>To provide a platform for presenting and discussing new ideas and results.<\/li>\n<li>To support the development of theory and applications of CA and DCS (e.g. parallel computing, physics, biology, social sciences, and others) as long as fundamental aspects and their relations are concerned.<\/li>\n<li>To identify and study within an inter- and multidisciplinary context, the important fundamental aspects, concepts, notions and problems concerning CA and DCS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the recent\u00a0years the workshop took place in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eng.u-hyogo.ac.jp\/eecs\/eecs12\/automata2014\/\">Himeji, Japan<\/a> in 2014,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.informatik.uni-giessen.de\/automata2013\/\">Gie\u00dfen, Germany<\/a> in 2013 and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.i3s.unice.fr\/automata2012\/\">La Marana, France<\/a> in 2012.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 21st annual international workshop on cellular automata and discrete complex systems\u00a0AUTOMATA 2015 will take place on June 8-10 in Turku, Finland.
